Committed to Educational Excellence

ISG Jubail School operates the IPC curriculum from J-KG / Reception to Grade 6 / Year 7, and follows an American curriculum in Grades 7 to 10.

Pre-Reception students are also accepted between the ages of 3 and 5.

Welcome to the ISG Jubail School website. On behalf of the teaching and support staff, may I extend a warm greeting to all new and prospective students and their families. I should do the same to our current community and also to our alumni, all of whom will find the information here of interest. The school is here to serve the educational needs of the expatriate workforce in the industrial city of Jubail. As that population fluctuates, so does our student enrolment. During the 2008 - 2009 school year student enrolment grew, as it did the previous year, reflecting the increasing expatriate population here in the Eastern province of Saudi Arabia due to the industrial expansions taking place. We will continue to provide a quality education for all of our students, and will do our best to expand this provision as our enrolment grows.

This website contains much of the information pertinent to our operation here, but it is no substitute for a visit to the campus and I encourage everyone to come and see us as soon as they are able, to get the full picture. Our tradition of happy and successful students continues and we are always pleased to hear from previous students so that we can continue to track their progress. A large number of them have gone on to become graduates from top universities around the world, and I know that they remember fondly their days in the Arabian sunshine. They now serve as a shining example for our current student body to emulate.

Enjoy your tour around our school via this medium and let us know if there are things you feel could be included to improve the product. Every website is a work in progress, this one is no exception.

Accreditation for Growth

Over the course of the next 14 months ISG Jubail will be involved in our accreditation process.  ISG Jubail is accredited by Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and it is time once again to begin and renew our accreditation.  Every six to seven years schools must get re-accredited to ensure that standards are being maintained.  Our Accreditation For Growth (AFG) process will enable us to take a very close introspective look at our school and allow us to focus on all aspects of our school and the community we serve in a hope to develop a plan for sustained improvement and growth.

A planning team has been developed by students, teachers, administration, the school councilor and members of the community.  It is essential that we, the school, include all of our stakeholders throughout this process.  We will be working hard at school to keep parents in the community informed with the latest developments and progress throughout our accreditation period.

Essentially, the school will assess 12 standards using criteria provided by Middle States in order to develop a plan for continuing improvement.  We will set multiple plans into motion throughout this year based on research and analysis of data.  Middle States association will then send a team to the ISG Jubail campus in November 2010 for a period of time so that they may verify our findings and offer guidance in our search for an improvement plan.

Parents will be asked to play an important role throughout this process.  We will have times throughout the next 14 months where your input will be essential for us to develop an improvement plan.  At times throughout the year we will inform parents about questionnaires they can find online through a company by the name of Survey Monkey for Accreditation Surveys.  When the opportunity comes, make sure you are able to fill out information necessary for us to improve our services to students.

Click here for the results of our most recent parent survey (10th Nov 09)

We are excited about our accreditation year and we are confident in the knowledge that this process will allow ISG Jubail to develop further into a world class school and keep us on a path towards our commitment to educational excellence.

H1N1 Swine Flu

At ISG Jubail, we are aware of the need to be vigilant in the wake of the swine flu epidemic.  Students will learn about the need for appropriate hygiene through their normal lessons.  Visitors into school will be asked to wash their hands with alcohol-based disinfectants on arrival.  Posters encouraging personal hygiene are also being displayed in prominent locations around school.
